Awayk ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Awayk handles your data. Unlike traditional apps, Awayk is designed with an offline-first, privacy-by-design architecture.
1. 100% Local Data Processing (No Cloud Uploads)
To help you wake up, Awayk utilizes advanced on-device Machine Learning (AI) missions:
- Camera & Image Verification (Object Hunt, Sky, Grass, Bed, Smile): All image recognition and face tracking are processed 100% locally in your device’s secure enclave/RAM. No photos or video frames are ever recorded, stored on your device, or transmitted over the internet to any external servers.
- Voice & Microphone Verification (Intention, Voice): Speech-to-text conversion is processed 100% locally on-device. No audio recordings or transcripts are ever stored or uploaded.
- Health & Sensor Data (Steps, Shake, Squats, Pushups): Accelerometer readings are processed immediately on-device to determine mission completion and are not uploaded.
2. Face, Body, and Machine Learning Data Collection & Usage
In accordance with App Store guidelines, we explicitly disclose how our ML-based missions handle sensitive data:
- Face Data (Smile Mission): Awayk uses on-device face detection technology (via Google ML Kit) to detect the probability of a smile. We do not collect, record, store, or transmit any face data or images to our servers or any third parties. The data is processed entirely locally on your device and is discarded immediately after the real-time processing is complete.
- Body & Pose Data (Squats, Pushups Missions): Awayk uses on-device pose detection to track body movement and count repetitions. We do not collect, record, store, or transmit any body/pose data or images to our servers or any third parties. The data is processed locally and discarded immediately.
- Object Data (Object Hunt, Environment Verification): Awayk uses on-device object detection to verify items (e.g., Sky, Grass, Bed). No images or object data are stored or transmitted.
3. Zero Account Requirement
You do not need to create an account, register an email address, or log in to use Awayk. Your alarm configurations, consistency streak statistics, and mission preferences are stored locally in your device's secure storage.
4. Subscription & Purchase Data
All premium subscription purchases (Awayk Pro) are processed securely through Apple App Store (In-App Purchases) or Google Play Billing. Awayk does not collect or store billing info; we only receive anonymous transaction tokens from the platform operators.
5. Third-Party Services
Awayk may use system-native APIs (such as Google ML Kit and Apple Vision) to execute local machine learning models. These libraries run locally inside the application bundle and do not transmit data to external services.
6. Policy Updates
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy inside the app.
Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Awayk mobile application (the "Service" or "App") operated by Awayk.
1. Agreement to Terms
By installing or using Awayk, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.
2. Responsible Alarm Use & Disclaimer
Awayk is a motivational alarm clock designed to help you build morning consistency. However:
- No Guarantee of Waking Up: You acknowledge that heavy sleep, technical battery exhaustion, device system updates, hardware failures, or silencing your phone’s system volume may prevent an alarm from playing.
- No Liability for Over-Sleeping: Under no circumstances shall Awayk, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct or indirect damages, losses, or missed appointments resulting from alarms failing to play or your inability to complete a mission.
- Safe Physical Execution: When performing physical missions (such as squats, pushups, walking steps, or navigating your room in the dark), you agree to proceed with caution. Awayk is not liable for any personal injuries, slips, falls, or property damage sustained while executing active missions.
3. Subscriptions (Awayk Pro)
Awayk offers a premium subscription model ("Awayk Pro") with billing options (Weekly, Monthly, or Annual) giving unlimited alarms, custom music, and premium AI missions.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Billing Platform: All billing operations, subscription modifications, and payment methods are governed by the respective platform operator (Apple App Store / Google Play Store).
- Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID Subscriptions page or Google Play Subscriptions menu.
- Refunds: All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.
End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Awayk. This EULA governs your use of the Awayk mobile application.
1. License Grant
Awayk grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes on mobile devices owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with this Agreement.
2. Apple & Google Minimum EULA Requirements
To the extent that you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Scope of License: The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded or Android-branded products that you own or control.
- Maintenance and Support: Awayk is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. You acknowledge that Apple and Google have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.
- Warranty: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple or Google, and they will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple and Google will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Product Claims: Awayk, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to your possession and/or use of the App, including product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, or consumer protection.
- Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third-party claim of IP infringement, Awayk (not Apple or Google) will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge.
- Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that they will have the right to enforce this Agreement against you.
3. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated by you or Awayk. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies of the App.
